As you have been earlier informed, as part of the Electronic Matching project, NSD had allowed its clients (depositors and issuers) to indicate aliases in instructions submitted to NSD either via LUCH software or via SWIFT to identify securities account / issuer account sub-accounts ("aliases").
To make it more convenient to search for information, NSD will make available, in a restricted-access section of NSD’s official web site, an Alias Database. Clients will be granted access to the Alias Database and will also be able to download the entire database as an xml file.
To disclose securities account / issuer account sub-account aliases and numbers in the Alias Database, depositors and issuers will, starting from 29 February 2016, be able to give their consent to such disclosure. For this purpose, they will need to:
- submit a hard-copy Disclosure Consent Form (Form GF083) (the "Consent") to certify their consent to the disclosure of the relevant details in the common Alias Database(Appendix 1 to the Guidelines on the Procedure for Interaction between the Depository and Clients in the Course of Performance under the Terms and Conditions of Depository Operations of National Settlement Depository);
AND
- submit, in electronic format, an instruction (Form AF094, transaction code 94, action type 1 "Disclosure of Information on Securities Sub-accounts") stating securities account / issuer account sub-account types the details of which may be disclosed in the Alias Database.
Each subsequent instruction stating transaction code 94 supplements a previously submitted instruction; therefore, there is no need to repeat the previously selected parameters in any new instruction.
Where it is necessary to remove certain sub-account types from the Alias Database, it will be required to submit an instruction (Form AF094, transaction code 94, action type 2 "Rejection of Disclosure of Information on Securities Sub-accounts").
Form AF094 instructions will be executed for free.
The Alias Database will be updated automatically upon execution of instructions for transactions 94.
