Bank Otkritie and Cherkizovo Group, the largest meat producer in Russia, have started making payment transactions via the Transit 2.0 platform operated by National Settlement Depository (NSD).

The multibanking service Transit 2.0 is designed to streamline interaction between corporations and their bankers, help manage a pool of accounts via the single interface, and support secure financial messaging.

Thanks to the successful pilot project undertaken together with Cherkizovo Group, all clients of Bank Otkritie who have signed up for the service become participants of electronic data interchange using the ISO 20022 standard that is also available in various versions of the Bank’s host-to-host integration solutions.

Irina Kondratova, Head of Treasury, Corporate Finance and Reporting, Cherkizovo Group: “In 2020, Cherkizovo Group took a decision to work together with NSD to ensure migration to the Transit 2.0 platform as the single channel for communication with banks.  Our trusted partner, Bank Otkritie, was quick to accept our proposal to join the platform. Our colleagues in the Bank set up the system as necessary, tested it, and came up with a ready-to-use solution. Cherkizovo Group is looking forward to working with the bank further towards the common goal, that is to make the process of payment document interchange between corporations and banks easy and convenient, while ensuring a high level of security and reliability.”

Andrey Karasev, Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Business Department, Bank Otkritie: “One of the key objectives for the bank this year is to provide clients with advanced and reliable digital solutions for their payment transactions. By joining NSD’s Transit 2.0 platform, Otkritie has taken an important step towards offering high-quality services to major corporations that expect the highest standards from banking services in the highly competitive market.”

Ekaterina Chirkova, Senior Vice President, Director of Client Relations Department, Corporate and Investment Division, Bank Otkritie “We would like to thank Cherkizovo Group for the opportunity to work together in this project and we are also prepared to offer payments via Transit 2.0 to other corporate clients. This is a convenient, reliable and secure tool designed to help Russian real-economy businesses manage their finances.”

Alexander Nam, Managing Director for Technological Services, NSD “We observe a growing interest in NSD’s IT services from market players.  They are looking for new ways to reduce their costs, increase transparency, and simplify interaction, and we are happy that Transit 2.0 helps them with this.”
