NDC Candidates Elected to DCC Board of Directors

MOSCOW (RNWire) - The National Depository Center (NDC), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of Russian securities, announced today that its five candidates were elected members of the Board of Directors of DCC CJSC at its AGM held June 24, 2008. Among the candidates proposed by NDC were Eddie Astanin, Deputy Director, NDC; Denis Soloviev, Deputy Director, NDC; Sergey Naumov, Deputy Director responsible for control, NDC; Andrey Remnev, Director of Depository, Vneshtorgbank; and Irina Vinogradova, Member of the Board, NDC.

NDC currently owns 36.96% in DCC CJSC.

Biographies:

Eddie Astanin was appointed Deputy Director, NDC, on January 1, 2005. In 1994-2004 Mr. Astanin worked for Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange as Director of Department for government securities and monetary market. He graduated from the Military Engineering Institute specializing in ballistic engineering, and also from the Financial Academy attached to the Government of Russian Federation, with a specialization in banking. He holds a PhD in technical science.

Denis Soloviev was appointed Deputy Director, NDC, on July 14, 2003. Before joining NDC Mr. Soloviev spent seven years with UNEXIM/ROSBANK as Head of Marketing & Client Relations division. After graduating from Moscow State University he worked for ING Bank (Eurasia) Moscow based subsidiary of ING Barings Group. He also graduated from the Institute for International Law and Economics named after Griboyedov with a specialization in management. University of Oxford, Said Business School, MBA 2007. Mr. Soloviev holds a PhD in law.

Sergei Naumov joined NDC on April 1, 1998. In October 2003, he was appointed Deputy Director responsible for audit, NDC. In 1981-1993 Mr. Naumov taught at the Plekhanov Institute of Economics. In 1993-1998 he worked for Price Waterhouse as an Auditor-Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Chief Expert responsible for contracts concluded with Russia's State Property Committee and Federal Commission for the Securities Market. Mr. Naumov graduated from the Plekhanov Institute of Economics with a specialization in economic planning. He holds a PhD in Economics.

Andrei Remnev has worked in the depository sector since August 1996. He has held a number of positions in this sector, first at Vneshtorgbank where he held the post of Deputy Chief of Depository, then at Vnesheconombank as Chief of Depository and then Director of Depository. Mr. Remnev graduated from the Moscow Financial Institute with a specialization in International economic relations.

Irina Vinogradova has been a Member of NDC's Board of Directors since 2005. Until 2008 she was a member of the Managing Board of International Moscow Bank, and then she was appointed an Advisor to the Managing Board of UniCredit Bank.
