The Third International Conference "Electronic Document Circulation between the Central Depositories of the CIS countries, ISO Standards, Problems and Perspectives of Integration of Electronic Document Circulation Between Members of the Central Depositories of Eurasia" was held by The Association Of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) on 19-20 Oct., 2006 in Kishinev, Republic of Moldova. A number of decisions defining the directions of the Association's activity in the coming year were made, among which are the following:
- A new AECSD council was elected, members of which include Nikolai Egorov, Director of NDC, and as an expert, Boris Cherkasskyi, NDC Development Director
- NDC was granted authority to represent AECSD on the matter of defining terms of cooperation between members of AECSD and the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA);
- Within the framework of the Association, a working group was formed on electronic document circulation with participation of SWIFT, led by Elena Solovieva, Head of the NDC Standards and Technology Support Division;
- Galina Aksenova, Head of NDC’s Division for Cooperation with Exchanges, Clearing and Settlement Systems was placed in charge of a working group on the development of relations among Depositories.
During the open meeting on 19 Oct., representatives of Central Depositories which are members of the Association and international infrastructure organizations made presentations. The next AECSD Conference is scheduled for September-October 2007 and will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

The first (Constituent) and the second conferences of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD), organized by the National Depository Center, were held in Moscow in 2004 and 2005 and initiated annual meetings of members of the Association, aimed at the development of cooperation among Depositories which are members of Association, and the consolidation of financial markets across the CIS states. AECSD was established on 22 Dec., 2004, its aim being formation of the common 'depository environment'.
