Please be advised that on 8 June 2015 the Rules for the Provision of Services Related to Assignment and Verification of the Legal Entity Identifier by National Settlement Depository (the “Rules”) and the amended and restated Regulations on Providing Services of Local Operating Unit by National Settlement Depository (Appendix 1 to the Agreement for Providing Services Related to Assignment and/or Annual Verification (Certification) of the International Code of Legal Entity Identification) (the “Regulations”) will take effect.
The Rules and the amended and restated Regulations are intended to improve NSD’s contractual framework.
Please note that those clients who have already entered into the Agreement for Providing Services Related to Assignment and/or Annual Verification (Certification) of the International Code of Legal Entity Identification with NSD (the “pre-LEI/LEI Agreement”) may accede to the Rules by submitting a new Application for Assignment or Verification of pre-LEI/LEI (Appendix 1 to the Regulations).
Those clients who do not have a pre-LEI/LEI Agreement with NSD are required to submit to NSD the set of documents in accordance with the Rules, including:
- Application for Assignment of pre-LEI/LEI (Appendix 2 to the Rules) – if the client accedes to the Rules in order to be assigned a pre-LEI/LEI;
Or - Application for Receipt of pre-LEI/LEI for Servicing (Appendix 3 to the Rules) – if the client accedes to the Rules in order to transfer his pre-LEI/LEI for servicing to NSD from another local operating unit.
