NDC becomes the winner of “Infrastructural Institute of the Year – 2007” in the category “For the development of EDI” and “For Service Quality”

On May 15th, 2008, in Great Novgorod a solemn rewards ceremony for winners and nominees of the competition for professional skills “Infrastructural Institute of the Year – 2007” was held within the 6th annual professional conference “Infrastructure of the Securities Market”, conducted by PARTAD together with the magazine “Securities market”. 

The National Depository Center (NDC) is recognized as the winner of the competition in the category “For the development of EDI”. NDC is also awarded with honor diplomas in the category of “Infrastructural Institute of the Year”, “For Service Quality” and “For Transparency”. The special prize in the category “For Management of Risks” was given to NDC by the insurer of the competition IJSC “Ingosstrakh”.

NDC’s high standards in the area of risk management have been confirmed by results of the independent operational audit conducted by Deloitte & Touche CIS CJSC. Based on the results, Thomas Murray, an international rating agency, has affirmed in 2007 NDC’s rating at A+, which corresponds with low risk.    

The category “For the Development of EDI” marks depositories and registrars which have reached the greatest progress in the area of development and the introduction of technology in electronic data interchange.

NDC is the leading depository in the organization of electronic data interchange among depositories, registrars, and other participants of the stock market. At present, the share of operations conducted via EDI increased to 85% of all operations conducted with securities at NDC’s nominee holder accounts in registers.

With Open Registration Company OJSC and Reyestr OJSC, NDC implements the trial use of EDI system.
