"The National Depository Center" (Closed Joint Stock Company) (NDC), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of debt and equity securities of Russian issuers, announces that Eddie Astanin, Director General, NDC, has been elected to the Council of the National Securities Market Association (self-regulatory non-commercial organization) (NSMA) at the Association’s general meeting held 19 May, 2010.

Eddie Astanin graduated from the Mozhaiskiy Military Engineering University (St. Petersburg) with diploma of honors and from the Finance Academy with diploma of honors. Mr. Astanin is a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences.
Member of Board of Directors of Settlement Depository Company CJSC. Member of Board of Directors of Depository Clearing Company CJSC.
Mr. Astanin was appointed NDC Director General and Chairman of NDC Directorship on 28 November, 2009. He joined NDC in 2004 as Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer. From 1994 till 2004 he held different positions at MICEX, came his career way from the Head of Operating Department to the Director of Government Securities and Money Market Division.
