National Settlement Depository’s communications program “Empowering the Russian Capital Market” was named best in the category “Financial Communications” by EMEA Region SABRE Awards announced by the Holmes Report, a respected international independent institute, in London.
The award in the category “Financial Communications” was given for the external communications program implemented by National Settlement Depository (NSD) in 2011-2013 during formation of the central securities depository (CSD) in Russia. The program was carried out together with Moscow Exchange, NSD’s partners, Kuzmenkov & Partners Communications Group, and was aimed at information and communications support of CSD formation in the country and creation of NSD’s corporate brand.
The communications program was focused on restructuring the record keeping system in Russia, informing local and foreign investors, issuers and professional participants of financial market about changes connected to CSD formation, opening Clearstream and Euroclear accounts with NSD and recognizing NSD as the eligible securities depository.
