Central Securities Depositories of Russia and Turkey Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, and Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu A.Ş. (MKK), Turkish central securities depository, have signed a Memorandum of understanding. Pursuant to the memorandum, the parties agree to exchange information and cooperate in the sphere of CSD services development including use of e-proxy voting services during corporate actions processing.

Currently, NSD has accounts with the CSDs and the ICSDs of eight countries, including seven bilateral accounts: with Euroclear Bank S.A./N.V., Clearstream Banking S.A., the Central Securities Depository (The Republic of Kazakhstan), the Republican Unitary Entity “Republican Central Securities Depository” (the Republic of Belarus), the NDU (Ukraine), the CDA (The Republic of Armenia), and the Central Depository of Kyrgyzstan. NSD has also opened an account with the NDC (The Republic of Azerbaijan).
