NDC and Central United Registrar Begin Operational Testing of Electronic Document Exchange System

MOSCOW - The National Depository Center (NDC), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of Russian securities, announced today the launch of operational testing of an electronic document exchange system with Central United Registrar CJSC.

The contract governing implementation of the system covers all information shared between NDC and Central United Registrar was concluded on 16 February. This document provided for an agreement on operational testing of the electronic documents exchange system which was signed on 21 May. After completion of operational testing the companies will switch to full electronic interactions.

The operational testing regime covers Central United Registrar records on operations involving NDC personal accounts, information on the status of NDC personal accounts, and also interaction between the two companies either in electronic and paper form. The companies are using software developed by NDC under the LUCH brand.

Members include Bank of Russia, MICEX CJSC, OJSC Bank of Moscow, Sberbank, International Moscow Bank, JP Morgan Bank International LLC, Vneshtorgbank OJSC, Bank Rossiysky Credit OJSC, Evrofinans Mosnarbank OJSC, Rosbank, Gazprombank CJSC, ING Bank Eurasia CJSC and Deutsche Bank LLC. Recently Vneshekonombank was approved as a new member. The Partnership also has a stake in CJSC Depositary Clearing Company (36.96 %) and in CJSC Settlement Depository Company (29%).
