MOSCOW – National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of debt and equity securities of Russian issuers, and SR-DRAGa CJSC have concluded an agreement for transfer agency services provided via NSD's EDI system.
Now the registered persons/entities that use NSD EDI system and hold the customer accounts opened with securities owners’ registers maintained by SR-DRAGa may get electronic documents for conducting operations in the registers and/or receive their customer account statements.
This service allows to accelerate the processing of the documents submitted to the registrar, to minimize errors in electronic documents prepared on the basis of approved formats of electronic interactions. Moreover, the information exchange held via EDI system increases a level of safety of the transmitted information due to using protected telecommunications channels and certified encryption-based safeguards certified in compliance with Russian standards. Electronic documents created in the course of electronic data interchange are authentic; they have the legal relevance while using them to create a digital signature.
NSD’s EDI system users may use this service after testing of the appropriate EDI procedures. More information about using transfer agency services and a procedure of exchanging test messages is available at NSD web site (in Russian).
