On 23 May 2015, NSD completed an unscheduled testing of certain components of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), the principal objective of which was to assess to what extent the shortcomings discovered in the course of the three DRP tests conducted earlier this year with respect to NSD’s various IT systems had been addressed. The mandatory recording of areas for improvement identified, making of improvements, and subsequent testing of such areas for improvement, as well as the taking of remedial actions to address any shortcomings ensure continuous development of theoretical and practical aspects of the Disaster Recovery Plan, which have a direct positive impact on the company’s business continuity and disaster recovery capability.

The availability of the relevant systems has been tested by NSD’s operations business unit both upon the switching over of the systems to the backup data center and back to the main data center. The results obtained demonstrate that the testing has been successful.
