NDC Appoints Anatoly Chekmarev Technology Director

The National Depository Center (NDC), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of Russian securities, announced today that Anatoly Chekmarev has been appointed NDC's Director responsible for technologies.

Mr. Chekmarev is a graduate of Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University) with a specialty in computer engineering and technologies. In 1999 he graduated from Financial Academy under the Government of Russian Federation with a specialty in Global Economics. Mr. Chekmarev was employed by Gazprombank OJSC (now GPB OJSC) as Head of the Department for Management of Treasury Operations and Head of the Treasury Operations Department from 2005-2007. From 2003-2005 he worked at Vneshtorgbank OJSC as Advisor to the IT Systems Management Department and to the Department for Formalization, Accounting and Control of Bank Operations. Prior to this, Mr. Chekmarev was employed in various IT positions at MICEX, Bank of Russia, Aeroflot, Hewlett Packard and RTS.

In 2004, Mr. Chekmarev was appointed a lecturer at the Banking Institute of the Higher School of Economics. He holds a certificate for broker-dealer operations and for securities management. Mr. Chekmarev speaks fluent English.

He is married and has two children.

Among NDC’s founders are MICEX and Bank of Russia (the founders’ shares in the property are 46.7% and 39.3% respectively, and in the votes 50.2% and 42.3% respectively). Members include GPB OJSC, Evrofinans Mosnarbank, Rosbank, VTB Bank (Vneshtorgbank), Bank of Moscow, Rossiysky Credit Bank, Vneshekonombank, ING Bank Eurasia, JP Morgan Bank International LLC, International Moscow Bank, Deutsche Bank, and Sberbank of Russia. The Partnership also has a stake in Depositary Clearing Company CJSC (36.96 %) and in Settlement Depository Company CJSC (29%).
